At Western, students experience the “magic” of science through the “art” of critical thinking. Classroom experiences enable students to observe, inquire, experiment, model, analyse and communicate. By adopting this approach, students spark their curiosity, explore the natural world and develop a life-long interest in learning. At Western every effort is made to inspire confidence and to encourage students to reach their potential through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), collaborative and cross-curricular learning and enrichment opportunities in the community and natural environment. Western’s science department meets all the requirement of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
