Engineering Inspiration

What a (Easter) weekend! 865 competed at the Windsor District Event this past weekend with many top teams from the province and from Michigan. The team had a tremendous showing placing 6th after qualification rounds and formed a 3rd seed alliance in the playoffs, losing to the eventual champions in the semi-finals. It was a highly successful weekend.

To top it off, the team accomplished a couple of firsts:

1) Winner of the Engineering Inspiration Award, an award that celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school and community. This is regarded as the second-highest honour a team could receive.

2) One of our students, Asha, won a nomination to represent the province for the Dean’s List Award, an award that celebrates outstanding student leaders whose passion for and effectiveness at attaining FIRST ideals is exemplary.

Thanks to all our supporters! The team is now off to the Provincial Championships at the Hershey Centre. Go Warp7!
