Most Improved in TDSB and Ontario

Congratulations to the staff and students of Western. According to the Fraser Institute Secondary School Ranking Report released on February 28, 2016, WTCS has been recognized as the most improved in the Toronto District School Board and in Ontario over the last 5 years.

Over the years, WTCS has observed consistent and significant improvements in students’ academic achievements, and passing rates in all subject areas are constantly on the rise. The lunch and learn literacy as well as after school numeracy programs enable students to actively seek and access extra help for their academic needs. In addition, the wide variety of clubs, athletic teams, summer program (Power Your Future) and student activities all contribute and develop students’ leadership and collaboration skills. The collective efforts cultivate a strong sense of community and commitment to success.

Message from Ms. Pang (Principal): “On behalf of our students, parents and guardians, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the WTCS staff for their tremendous efforts in supporting student achievement. We will continue to work together to promote success for each and every students in our school.”
