On Friday, December 8, 2017, seven of Western’s Grade 10 girls traveled to the University of Waterloo to participate in The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing’s Programming Challenge for Girls.
Programming Challenge for Girls (PC4G) is a workshop designed to introduce programming to Grade 10 girls. By the end of the day, students will have learned the basics of object-oriented programming through a hands-on tutorial and challenge.
After a day of coding, workshops and lectures, the Gold Medal winners were two of Western’s own! Congratulations to Laura and Gen!
