Warp7 Takes Flight!

What a year from Western’s robotics team, 865, Warp7!

From Apr. 26-29, 865 competed for the World Championships of FIRST robotics in St. Louis.  The team’s robot, Cosmos, performed admirably and demonstrated that it was able to accomplish game tasks quickly and efficiently.  This was recognized by the 2nd seed alliance captain, and Cosmos was selected to join their alliance.  After a loss in the first match of playoffs, Cosmos was subbed in and had a chance to prove its worth.  Cosmos made a huge impact helping the alliance reach the division finals!

“Despite the ending, I am very proud of the team and their accomplishments.  The students have achieved our best results yet and are looking forward to improving for future years”, says lead mentor, Mr. Wang.
